Join us on Friday 1st May as we take on Northumberland's famous 26-mile route to explore Kielder in 12 hours. Celebrate 100 years of England's largest man-made forest whilst also supporting children living with disabilities, additional needs and terminal illness right here in the North East.

How long is the trek and when does it start/end?
We expect to complete the trek in 12 hours. We ask all participants to arrive at 07:30am for a 07:45am start, with a planned finish time of 19:30pm.
All participants are asked to allow plenty of time to arrive - the start point is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes from Newcastle.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
You will be required to make your way to Kielder, and the nearest car park is Bakethin Nature Reserve Car Park.
Is there a minimum age limit?
Participants must be aged 16+.
How challenging is the walk?
This walk is classed as a challenging route due to its distance as opposed to its technicality. The route is generally on man-made tracks and paths, with some undulations and steep sections.
Are toilets available during the walk?
There are public toilets at the beginning of the trek and at the halfway point.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring plenty of water (minimum of 2 litres per person is recommended). While there may be an opportunity to purchase refreshments mid-way, we highly advise that you bring snacks and a packed lunch and keep fuelled throughout the day.
What's the refund policy?
No refunds.
Are dogs allowed?
Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
What happens in the event of bad weather?
The walk will go ahead in poor weather. In the event of severe weather, the event may be cancelled and rescheduled for another date. No refunds will be provided in the event of cancellation due to severe weather.
