Join our lottery!

Hi Sunshine news readers

It’s nearly the weekend! With the remaining schools across our region opening this week it’s been an uncertain and potentially unsettling time for many of us as we prepare our children for the new normal. The families and schools we support here at The Chronicle Sunshine Fund have been sharing their hopes and concerns for the future with us as they look ahead to the new school year by taking part in our recent Covid Impact Survey. Its been wonderful and truly inspirational to catch up with them and it makes us really proud to hear about the difference our equipment has made to family life. We want to thank everyone who took part in our survey. We will be sharing results and stories with our Sunshine news readers soon.

Last week we launched our brand new The Chronicle Sunshine Fund Lottery! As you know, it’s all about the kids but did you catch any of our social media promotions featuring some of our superstar Sunshine kids? They've given us so many reasons to smile this week. You can sign up for the lottery from just £1 per ticket, half the price of many other lotteries, and with a jackpot prize of £25,000 and 50p from every ticket sale going directly to support babies and children living with disabilities and additional needs right here in our region – what’s not to love? Even small donations can make a BIG difference to our charitable mission and to your wallet! By taking part you are helping us improve local lives, we like to think of it as lottery karma! Don’t forget to let your friends and family know when you take part; the more tickets we sell the more children we are able to help it really is that simple.

Now, before I sign off I just wanted to say a huge thank you to our volunteer fundraisers and supporters who have been hosting fundraising events across the region to raise funds for us when our own events have ground to a halt. From delicious bake sales to fab raffles, from having a clear out and selling your unwanted items of Facebook Marketplace to socially distanced afternoon teas in the park, every penny you have raised for us is much appreciated by our team, our volunteers, our families and our schools. Here’s William to say a huge thank you!

Siobhan
