It's safe to say that 2020 wasn't the Christmas we had all hoped for and with virtual Santa visits, cancelled markets and no Christmas parties, Christmas spirit was thin on the ground (much like the snow!). With all of our events cancelled, it was a tough year of fundraising for us with Christmas being a key time for giving in the North East.

Christmas 2021 is back with a bang and a whole lot of magic here at The Chronicle Sunshine Fund and we can't wait to see our families and supporters once again. From Christmas grottos to Christmas Jumper Day, there is something for everyone. This year we hope to raise thousands across our events and campaigns to enable us to fund life-changing, specialist equipment for our children in time for the big fella heading into toon!

Here's how you can get involved...

Join us this November as we take the Stagecoach Santa Grotto Bus on the road, spreading Christmas cheer to our families and supporters with Santa and his elves. Our fully inclusive and accessible grotto bus has been a firm favourite among believers of all ages and we're thrilled that it is visiting Tesco Extra at Kingston Park and The Killingworth Centre.
No booking is required for either these dates and whilst we will be fundraising on the day, visiting Santa is free of charge as we want every child to have the opportunity to have this experience. The bus is fully accessible however please get in touch if you would like to make us aware of any particular needs of your child so that we can ensure the experience is as special as possible.

Time to dust off those jumpers...
As a small North East charity, we know only too well how important it is to support local and so we're delighted to be working in partnership with Grainger Deliveries this year as they present their wonderful children's book, The Elf who saved Christmas. You can purchase a copy of the book via their website below and £2.50 from every sale will be donated to The Chronicle Sunshine Fund.
